This morning I was supposed to chaperone Sima's class on a trip, but it was cancelled last minute, so I ended up just doing lots of laundry! When I went to pick up Sima from school I drove since I knew she had walked to a park and I figured she'd be too tired to walk. Well, it was a good thing I did! As Sima was getting into the car, the sky was getting darker and darker. We quickly went home and as soon as we got onto the porch it started to pour!
Sima was so excited! "Mommy look it's raining again! Can we go play outside in the rain?" After lunch she asked again, so I decided to make a project out of it.
I brought them paper and crayons, and told them to color all over the paper.
When they were finished, I showed them both how to fold the papers. Mushka needed help, but I was really impressed how Sima was able to follow my directions.
Suprise!!
By the time we finished our project, it had stopped raining! Perfect timing! I was really excited to have puddles but not have to get wet while playing with them. The kids had a ball floating their boats in the puddles, and even went inside to get some ducks from the buddy to add to the fun.
What a fun day!
